Default Angels & Demons : November 24th !

Finally confirmed by Sony on November 24th, in the US !

No news yet of the region coding (we'll have to wait for the back cover to see if it's noted A or ABC).

Just to let you know too, the UK Blu-Ray is coming on September 14th ...

Here's a look of the artwork :

I had a feeling we wouldn't get it this month. There was never an announcement until now. I'm still curious if there will be a bundle pack.

The UK is getting a bundle pack of Angels & Demons together with Da Vinci Code so I would hope the US will get the same.

Agree! I am so looking forward to buying this movie. The wife's family has made a special request for a viewing at my home. They love the supernatural thriller genre. And, they are a big family (8 brothers and sisters). Thus, my copy will have plenty of "replay value".

I think the UK release has both the theatrical and extended cuts. Hopefully Sony does likewise in the US. One of my favorite features on Blu-ray is how studios are utilizing seamless branching a lot more often.

Since DVDActive don't allow hotlinking, here's the pic you were trying to show (artwork exactly like the UK release):

No. I knew that we were not getting it next week...the announcement would have come much earlier.

It's also not unheard of for Europe to get a movie on Blu-ray before the U.S. Examples include "Taken" (which was released on BD in the UK while the movie was in U.S. theaters), and catalog titles like "The Italian Job" (the original 1960s version which is still not in the U.S/ but is a region-free U.K. release) and numerous others I could name...

Wow! It's took a long time for this and Star Trek, they were two of the summer's first big films, opening a week apart, and yet they're two of the last ones to see Blu-ray. I still think the UK has it right, basically day and dating the release with the new book. More evidence that Sony Picture has no real marketing sense.

According to Amazon.co.uk's product info for the UK bundle pack, it contains the extended cut of both movies. Cross your fingers this is repeated for the US. I'd be stunned if it were not.
