The first collection (to my knowledge) of music videos on Blu Ray was going to be released last tuesday. "Cheap Trick: Every Trick in the Book".

The link here in blu-ray.com (https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?id=5685) redirects to the DVD when you click BUY NOW.

Amazon states (http://www.amazon.com/Every-Trick-Bo...7855964&sr=1-1) that the Blu Ray "has been discontinued by the manufacturer".

Does anyone know if this BD was even released?

I cant answer your question....sorry. It was a collection of videos, not a concert?

Yes, it was a collection of videos.

I was curious to see how well those would look on Blu, although I was a little sckeptical about the quality.

Oh well, at least the DVD was released last tuesday for the first time. That's something.

Don't think so. The same company released the DVD. If the BD wasn't released at all, I'd say it was just a precipitated announcement on their part.
