Game save question. - Blu-ray Forum

When i select copy on game data file it will let me give to other users on my 60gig. Right now i'm trying that on my friends 40gig but will not do that from his main profile. I'm trying to copy his RE 5 data to my user account. Anyone know how to change this? Thanks in advance.

Capcom copy protects its save data, so it won't work.

Then why can my 60gig do it? I can give it to my 2nd account on the same ps3. I can do it on his but it can give it to his primary on his system. I have a account on his.

I don't know for sure but I don't think the info can leave a specific machine to go to a new machine. That's why you can use it for your other account but not be able to transfer it to your friends.

Thats not what i'am trying to do. I'm just trying to transfer on the same PS3 not to another PS3. I made a account on his. On his 40gig it will let me transfer my game file to his primary account but not from his to mine wich is secondary. Thats all i'm trying to figure what is set different on my system that will do it no problem. Sigh freaking 40gig. My system is down for now. I did file restore wich said system data corrupted. It happend when i was playing re5 some random left afte 4min of playing. My PS3 locked up so had to shut it down from main switch. Now since that i can't get more then a few minutes of gaming. Don't got a way to back up data at the moment.

I'm going to guess you didn't do it with the same game. Like I said, some games—mostly Capcom games—copy protect their data while most games don't.

It is the same game RE 5. Thats the only game i started playing on his system. I just wanted his file cause he is farther but yeah.
