Smile Good speakers and blu-ray...

Hey,

If I have a 1080p 120h LG and use a PS3 to play the blu-ray would that work through any speakers or do I need a blu-ray player? What would be a good speakers surround sound system that is fairly price friendly?

Thanks,
Tara

price???? the ps3 works fine with just about any home theater setup. you will NOT need a separate dvd player. you looking at a home theater in a box? or you going to start a build?

yeah.... you really have to throw out at least a ballpark figure for a budget, otherwise people will throw out recommendations ranging from the most modest equipment, to the most extravagant......

Cool Figures...

Hey,

Yah... A price range could help. I saw an LG one for $300 dollars on BestBuy...

I think my limit is $500. I'm just in my bachelorette pad fresh out of college so I don't want to go crazy. However, the home theater is where all my spare money goes:-)

Aloha,
Tara

Buy a receiver, and start with 2 channel..... either that, or just get a sound-bar.... with that budget, you'd be better off with that, or saving for later.

you could get speakers, but no receiver... or you could get a receiver but no speakers

or you can go home theatre in a box, which is always nice when your starting out

if you're looking to get it at bestbuy

You should like this Tara, but they kind of shrunk the speakers for what they used to give you at that price..

we linked the same ones ^^

i was looking at bhphoto.com and this might actually be a better choice, its a onkyo system

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...er_System.html

The Denon link i posted has 1080p upconverting but i think other than that this Onkyo system beats it

Talking Thanks...

Hey,

Yes these look good. Thanks a bunch guys :-) I am just starting out, but for just being out of college I will deem this a good start. I plan on later down the road having boston accoustics throughout my house with a 60 inch LED and a pronto remote set-up... Better start saving lol...

Aloha,
Tara
