Cool Cannot unpause Universal titles...

I have a Panasonic DMP-BD60K, when I watch a Universal title, if I pause it for too long, the Universal "screen saver" comes up and I cannot get it to resume playing. I press play on the remote and I see the numbers counting on the players display, but I get no picture or sound. Seems ti only happen with Universal titles. Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks!

On my PS3 when the screensaver comes up, I hit pop-up menu on my remote and that movie starts right back up again.

It's true, pressing "Play" or "Pause" don't seem to do a thing once the screen saver comes up. Like Wolv, I just press the Pop Up Menu button on my remote and play resumes.

Right on. I cant tell you how frustrated I have been. I bought 12 Monkeys and A River Runs Through It and I had to go back to the main menu and find my scene again. This should sve me some headache...I hope.

Thanks again for the quick as sh*t responses.

What also works, hit the X button on your ps3 controller, that will take you back to your paused movie image, then just hit start. That's what I do, I noticed it when I watched the Rundown.

I have a regular blu-ray player (not a playstation) and I have the same problem with the pause and play buttons not working to resume the film. It resumes though if I hit the "select" button on the remote.

Hit the down arrow on the remote, playback continues.

Had the same problem on both my Sony S300 and my PS3. Frustrating to no end, until I eventually discovered the whole PopUp Menu trick. Kinda lame, IMO. So far I've only noticed Universal discs to suffer from this kind of "glitch". Hopefully they'll get it all sorted out.

I forgot to mention I am using the Harmony One remote. I am pretty sure it has most of the buttons everyone has mentioned.

I will try all of these out tonight.

Thanks again!

The red button also does the trick. I believe the reason this happens with Universal titles is because of the U-Control features they put on their discs.

Or... or... or... just guessing here... maybe it has something to do with the menu translation from HD-DVD and they haven't gotten around to fixing it yet?

Don't we have a Universal "insider" on these boards? Who do we run this up the flagpole to? (Seriously... I'm great with the "strongly-worded letter" approach.)
