It might have expired - they do expire.
On the Warner site, they made a iTunes link - but I didn't bother because I don't do iTunes.

Angry Nope.... Warner Bros is wrong

I have tried to use the download form also, but that does not rectify this situation. Apparently at first, Speed Racer blu-rays did not include any way to get the Speed Racer standard def digital copy on iTunes. They tried to rectify that problem with the download form. This is a different problem.... When you type in your authorization code, you get an iTunes code that expired already, on March 31, 2009. This is the case despite the fact that the advertising on the outside and inside of the blu-ray say that the digital copy offer will not expire until September 16, 2009. When you use the speed racer form online, you get the same iTunes code, and it has similarly expired. I have submitted the online assistance form to Warner Bros twice, and so far have been ignored.

WB had better rectify this quickly, or I will take further action. I'm a semi-retired lawyer, and well, I won't stand for this crap. If anyone else has found themselves in the same situation, please post here. If I get some sort of resolution, I'll post again here. And if I don't, a few additional aggrieved consumers or potential plaintiffs won't hurt in my quest to get WB to fix this.

This is exactly what happened to me, I sent an issue to WB Digital Copy Support and have not received a response. It says that it can take up to 2 business days but it has been a week already. I re-sent and issue today reiterating the situation and letting them know it was my second request. I originally sent an email to iTunes support but they directed me to WB Digital Copy Support. This truly is disappointing.

I am sending another email to iTunes Support explaining the situation hoping they can provide a credit of some sort. At least iTunes Support will reply. I will post any updates.

I figured there would be others who share my pain

Default iTunes support... good idea

Contacting iTunes support is a good idea. Maybe they have a better line of communication with WB.

Default Amazon says....

They will send out a replacement disc, and the code included with the new disc will work. I'll believe it when I see it. And even if it works, that doesn't help the people that bought the disc from some other source.

if you PM I'll give you my code.
Which doesn't expire until September 19.
I'm a mac user and it doesn't work for me.

I don't know it may work ...

Default No dice with Amazon

Amazon kindly sent me a replacement and even sent it with one-day shipping. So kudos to Amazon. Unfortunately, as expected, the new disc has the same problem as the original one I received: when you redeem the authorization code to download a copy from iTunes, the iTunes code you are provided has already expired.

And Warner Brothers has still not bothered to respond to either of my messages, or apparently the messages from other folks.

I'm trying to see if Amazon can get any response from Warner Brothers. Next step is consumer protection stuff, and if that doesn't work, a class action would be in order.

Making digital copies this difficult to redeem is NOT the way for the movie studios to get people to stop copying (and trading) discs.

Default a different page to contact WB

Amazon directed me to a different page to send a message to Warner Brothers about the situation. So I sent WB this message:

I purchased the Speed Racer Blu-Ray with digital copy from Amazon.com. The advertising on the outside (and the insert on the inside) indicate that the digital copy offer does not expire until September 16, 2009. When I went to redeem the offer in early April, using the digital copy disc provided in the package, I was provided with an iTunes code that expired on March 31, 2009. Unsurprisingly, when I tried to use it at iTunes, it did not work. I understand WB previously had problems with the Speed Racer digital downloads for iTunes, and tried to use the web page that WB set up to address that initial problem. I had the same result: entering my authorization code gave me an expired iTunes code. I have contacted WB TWICE through the digital download support page and have received no response whatsoever. Amazon was kind enough to send me another copy of the Speed Racer blu-ray at their expense, and I had the same result -- entering the authorization code for an offer that was not to expire until September got me nothing but a useless iTunes code that expired in March. In short, I, and others like me, have not received what we paid for in purchasing WB's Speed Racer blu-ray.

Please rectify this situation or I will take additional action.

Please feel free to contact me via email or by phone at xxx-xxx-xxxx if you need additional information. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Default WB fails again

WB promised a response with a new code, and then did nothing for over a week. I emailed yet again, and they responded, and a day or so later I received a new code. And of course, the new code has expired also. My patience is running out with these guys. They are either crooks or bozos. Anyway... if you are in a similar situation, please consider posting here.

Default still no dice....

Warner finally contacted me, after I sent a letter to the General Counsel of Time Warner and Warner Bros Entertainment. At this point, it appears that WB is aware that it is unable to provide an iTunes compatible copy. I have contacted class action counsel and they are willing to move forward. WB has offered me an iTunes gift card and a dvd. That, of course, does nothing for anyone else that was unable to legally obtain a digital iTunes copy of the movie as promised.... We'll see.

Exactly the same situation for me. I originally contacted iTunes but since its WB issue they haven't been able to resolve.

Default Success, I think!

WB got me a working iTunes code, so I have my digital copy now. They also indicated that there was a problem with redeeming the authorization codes to get an unexpired iTunes code, but that the problem has now been resolved.

You can use this link to go to the support page for more information:

http://www.wbdigitalcopy.com/support...444&country=us

Please note that on the opening page, you need to select United States as the country and Speed Racer (blu-ray) as the title. This will then take you to the page with the updated info.

You should now be able to use your original authorization code to get a functioning, unexpired iTunes code. If you still are unable to get your digital download, please post here or let me know. Otherwise, I will consider the matter resolved. It's a shame that it took a letter to Time Warner's and Warner Brothers Entertainment's general counsels, but at least WB appears to have finally made good on their offer.
