Default Just got back from Wisconsin Dells.

It was a great family trip. We took our 4 and 7 yr old daugthers to Noah's Ark Water Park.

HOLY CRAP!

I had no idea they made water parks the size of small amusement parks geared directly at water slide junkies.

I'm sure someone here has been to Noah's Ark and been on "The Plunge" or a water slide just like it. MAN OH MAN!

I'm a roller coaster junkie and have never shyed away from anything (excluding what's on the top of the Stratosphere in Vegas, cuz I've got a savage fear of heights), but every single part of my existance felt like something was wrong when I flew down that slide. I had no idea I would actually get "air" and free fall briefly before coming back in contact with the slide.

AT LEAST A COASTER GIVES YOU A SENSE OF SECURITY...YOU'RE LOCKED IN!

All there was between me and impending doom, was a 1" piece of foam!

I've only been to Noah's Ark once and that was probably 13 years ago but it's definitely the best water park I've ever been to.

My parents are time share owners so me and my wife paid $180 bucks canadian for 1 week at Christmas Mountain Village.

With $230 bucks for gas, it only cost us $410 bucks. Not bad for a week stay and 1450 miles.

However, I'm not going to lie. I'm 36 yrs old, so I don't see me EVER EVER EVER going on that slide again!

Haven't been there in years..I drive past it all the time or stop in for a quick trip for gas & food off of 90/94. I used to have a good time there.

Going to Schlitterbahn in August. Don't know if it's better than the Dells (been 25 years since i've been), but it's supposed to be ginormous.

Waterparks are awesome. Those slides that go almost straight down, those rock cause theres a few seconds where you don't touch the slide.

Raging Rivers in Souther California!

There's actually 4 water parks around me.

Knott's Soak City
Raging Waters
Six Flags Magic Mountain has a water park also
Wild Rivers

At least I knew what I was getting into on the "Point of no return". I could go on that one over and over. It was the plunge and the "air" I got that freaked me out. For a brief moment, I thought I was the only person on the planet plunging down a path of certain doom. I was truely terrified!

When they had the water park in Las Vegas, Wet n' Wild, their version had a trap door and you didn't know when the operator would push the button. It was awesome. Step into a chamber and cross your arms and legs. They close the door and there's a window so you can see straight forward only and not the operator. You're like until they push the button.
