Default Ideal TV Height For Viewing?

Im curious whats the ideal height to have the tv placed(wall mount or on a tv stand) I recently had to modify my tv stand to raise my tv to allow the center speaker fit on the stand.

Seems my tv is to heigh(might be an adjustment) so I was curious whats the ideal height?

Picture? Eyes should hit the center of the screen when seated, looking straight ahead.

Hello

I just wanted to second this post; most people do not know this rather simple guideline.

Thank You
