I could see it happening, especially during the holidays. It would definitely help increase blu-ray movie sales.

A $300 PS3 might mean lower quality PS3s but I do think it would boost PS3 sales dramatically and blu-ray sales as well as a result.

I think they should with Xbox smacking them around. jk I really regret just get the standalone player Theres games on ps3 I want to play so bad but what can I do ohh well.

IMHO, it's going to happen as rumored. Without any mention of it on my end, a sales rep I spoke to today went out of her way to reassure me that if said price drop were to occur they would price match.

Wow, who taught you that? As time passes, components become cheaper to build and produce. Before Sony was losing money ($100-200) on each PS3 sold. Now I think they're making like $5 or something small like that.
