If it is actually Paramount it will most likely be a pan-European release, meaning mutiple (selectable) subtitles and audio selections. The same disc will undoubtedly turn up released in several countries down the road, France just happened to get a jump start with the announcement.

I think the film was cleaned but not fully restored.
There are quite a few speckles and scratches, especially during the first five minutes. The lighting is rather soft, but that could be related to the original photography (which reminds me of Pasolini's movies). The colour scheme is nuanced and generally pleasing. Good news is, fine grain is very much healthy. Overall, I like this presentation. Just don't expect a Lawrence-style restoration ![]() |
