Go 55'' like i did in my bedroom. Bigger is better. Really though for a bedroom I'd consider around 40'' if you can budget around this size (especially if your going to watch blu-rays on it). 20'' or so I'm not even sure what to recommend. I'm going to get a tv/computer monitor (maybe dual setup) that is around 30''...then again i'm blind so probably not much help for you.

Nothing smaller than 32" is what I would suggest. I'm going for a 50" Panny this fall when the prices drop a little on the V10. Then again, my bedroom is bigger than most. The 37" I have now is borderline, to small to just right.

Depending on the size of your room and viewing distance, 32"-42" is a good size for a bedroom. Or you can be absolutely crazy like seanfarley2 and throw up a 55" on the wall . It also depends on how much dough you're willing to roll out for your tv.

My bedroom is about 13' by 13' or so and I have a 37" in it and I think it's the perfect size for that room. I think you'll be shorting yourself if you go for a 22" unless you have a jail cell for a bedroom

I have a 50" in mine, it's pretty sweet.

Get the biggest thing you can fit and afford so you don't have buyers remorse in a few months and you'll wish you went bigger.

I agree with everyone here, go the biggest you can. My bedroom is about 12x14 and I have a 50" plasma which is perfect. Nothin like a 50" plasma in the bedroom and a 61" DLP in the living room

Not everyone here agrees...... I got a 32" for the bedroom, and it's perhaps too big.... I just want to catch some news etc. or watch a movie from time-to-time...... My bedroom is not a place for my full-movie-theater experience.... that's what makes having a dedicated space great..... when I watch a movie, it's an "Event" We set aside time to immerse ourselves in the film, and take it all in with no distractions. I personally don't want a large T.V. in the bedroom.... I want something as non-obtrusive as possible there. I think I may move the T.V. to a spare room anyways, because electronics in the bedroom is just taking away from the decorating etc. we have going on in there.

For those who want a large T.V. in their bedroom, that's their choice too..... people can do whatever works best for them.

+1
What happened to people reading the original post and helping him out, not trying to push them into something that resembles their own setup. I get perhaps offering an opinion to a certain extent, but no one actually gave him suggestions on a 22inch TV just basically told him he shouldn’t do it.

I think you should get the size that fits that space to your liking. I have a 22" in a bedroom that works good.

OP, Do you have a budget you are working with?

many 32" 720p sets are now under $400. Many on/at walmart.

I think I am in the minority since I don't have a TV in any of the bedrooms. I have my one in the family room and a small POS Broksonic 13" CRT/VCR in the kitchen for background noise while cooking.

I'm still trying to sell my Toshiba 34" CRT HDTV. It's collecting dust by my front door. If I don't sell it this week, the wife wants it out of the house. Goodwill here I come.
