I saw the first episode the other day - not sure what to think of it. I think I preferred the original, although it was a bit cheesy when it got to the regular hour long show, the original 2 mini-series were very impressive.

Sas this yesterday HMV.com £36.99 when i pre ordered. I am not sure but its weird cause some of the new titles announced from warner were set to £11.99 each at HMV and the others were £12.29 and above.

Something else I thought from the first episode, (which might change as the series progresses), but they've completely missed the point about the title 'V'.

In this episode, kids joining the Visitor youth movement were 'tagging' places with a large red V - for visitor. The 'V' in the original series was nothing to do with the visitors, it was a symbol for the resistance movement and it was a 'V' for victory.

Now whether this changes, I don't know, but if not, I think the studio execs and writers really seriously screwed up on this one.

I've seen the first 8 episodes of this now, and have a hard time when comparing it to the original series, as it really is a complete reimagining, and not a remake of that series

Treat it as such, try not to compare too much and i think you'll enjoy it more

I accept that it's a reimagining, which is all well and good - some of the new things I quite liked - but in my mind you don't take one of the fundamental things about a series and change it into something different - reimagining or not.

The 'V' should be for victory - not Visitors.
