They said they're going to keep making them as long as they make money. I don't know how much Saw V made, but it must have done well enough to make 6 & 7.

But will Jigsaw still be in it? The same actor? I doubt he'll want to keep doing this forever.

These movies aren't even scary anymore. It's all about trying to gross out the audience in a new, "creative" way.

Yes they did say theyre gonna keep making them as long as the money keeps rolling in. Just for the record I researched about Saw V here is their profit margin:
Theatrical Performance
Total US Gross $56,746,769
International Gross $56,400,000
Worldwide Gross $113,146,769

Now guess the production buget? $10,800,000

Roughly 103$ million dollars, thats not including the 25 million profit they made from dvd, bluray sales of Saw V. Saw is a money tree which keeps blooming every year for them.

(The profit and production cost for Saw IV is almost the same, so I bet all together they made close to half a billion dollars on saw franchice, or even more. )

The original Jigsaw had two apprentices. He has not been a main instigator since the first one. He also died in 3

What else has he been doing? I doubt he would be willing to turn down a yearly paycheck.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. But he still makes an appearance though, he's credited at IMDB.

I never thought the first one was scary either. I just believed they were a creative horror movie. Just like Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, etc. They have some jump out scenes, you just have to have fun with them. When they try too hard like Rob Zombie does that is when they become unwatchable.

I hated Saw IV, and was believed Saw V to be worse. However, I enjoyed Saw V a lot more than I was initially expecting.
