Question Speakers Upside Down?

I've got some speakers from an old Logitech Z5500 that I was planning on mounting on the wall. My question is, would it be ok to hang the speakers upside down? Or would that effect sound quality (or something along those lines)?

Thanks!

in regards to harming your speakers, it shouldnt be a problem. may it be on the side or upside down...

with tonal qualities tho, its built in a way where it was to be used upright, including its dispersion pattern.

what id be more concerned about is the resistance these speakers would have. in general most speakers have a resistance of 8ohms, but with HTIB or computer speakers it can range from 4ohms to 12ohms. This can be a concern due to its interaction with the receiver. with the improper volume settings, it can cause it to clip, or even worse, break your AVR.

Hmm...

Now, I don't know if this even qualifies as having a receiver. Does it?

Clearly I need to upgrade, but I just moved and my new room doesn't really have a spot for setting these upright.

I'm not sure. But thank you!

ah, now i see. based on your previous posting, i assumed you were using these speakers in lieu with a newer setup (an upgrade from a computer speaker set to a full blown AVR setup).

nonetheless, since you're using it with the same components (not breaking the set up), then you should be fine with it. i see no challenges with flippin it over sideways, upside down or what not.

for future reference, you can also use these speakers (as long as the it has the proper terminals), when upgrading to a new set up too.

I had a pair of Polk Audio RTi4's hanging upside down in order to get the tweeter more in line with my ears.

This should not present any sonic issues.

I've done it without a problem. Didn't notice any ill effects on sound quality.
