How Is Your Summer '09 Going? As Hilarious As Mine? - Blu-ray Forum

Overall, it's been fun. Not too many humid hot days here in Chicago. However, the bad luck bug has bitten me lately.......

1.) Got laid-off my job on Friday. Oh joy!

2.) Got scammed on eBay for the first time ever. Have been dealing on there for about 9 years now.

3.) Almost hit a kid in a motorized wheelchair. Came up to a 4-way stop intersection & saw him. I waved him to go, but he was just flapping his arms (he was mentally challenged, without ANY parents in sight! wtf?!). I waited about 30 seconds, but he still wasn't going.....so I started to accelerate.....then he did. I had to swerve out of the way. I didn't think a wheelchair would have such pickup like his did. Seriously. I came within about 5 feet of hitting him. Glad I didn't!

The worst luck I've had so far this summer was my computer getting rained on while I was outside using it, thought the gap between the roof and the rain and me was enough, guess not.

Pretty boring summer so far. It's been the mildest summer of my life, as the temperature has usually been in the 70s or low 80s and last weekend the high was in the low 60s, so I haven't gone boating at all with friends. I've played a lot of golf and am getting better, but I still struggle. I'm ready for fall and football to start though, only 6 more weeks until college football season

Kind of a boring summer. I've been working mostly. Haven't seen my friends much. No one goes to the bars anymore.

I went canoeing a few times in Wisconsin.

The weather sucks. It has been in the 70's-80s. Maybe one day above 90?

Going to Las Vegas next month for a short trip to see Down.

It's my first Summer in my new house, so I've been doing alot of yard work. I was lucky enough to get poison ivy two weeks ago, and it's finally starting to fade away. Basically my Summer has been a big routine between work and working at home, rather dull

For me.

1. It's been raining almost every afternoon.
2. It's been a very hot summer.
3. I'm still working.
4. I've been on vacation twice, and will have a 3rd week off in August.
5. I keep dreaming about the upcoming football season.
6. I play basketball at least twice a week now
