If you have the DVD already, I wouldn't. It's the softest blu-ray I own out of 600. Colors are better but that's about it.

I think this is one of those movies you wait to go to $10 then jump on. Like home alone. I'm waiting on both to go down since the pq and aq aren't anything special.

I would agree with this. I would buy it not of you don't have the DVD. However, if you are looking to upgrade look for a better price.

It's not a big upgrade of the DVD, but for a low price it's worth it.

If its for a low price, why not go for it. As a matter of fact I will get this movie.

Both releases of Dumb and Dumber are 16x9 enhanced. The 1997 DVD release did include a 4x3 modified version of the film.

I mean if you have the 1997 disc and want the extras & can take advantage of the TrueHD sound...it should be a no brainer since you love the movie so much.

If you're a fan of the movie you should buy it. I know a lot of people say this isn't much of an upgrade from the DVD, but I disagree. It's no Dark Knight or Wall-E, but it's worth a buy.

If you take a look here http://dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=719 you'll see scenes are missing from the DVD issues, I've no idea whether the Blu is fully intact

This has to be my all-time favorite comedy movie of all time. I thought the PQ was better than the DVD version. I'd get it

The Blu-ray is complete... except for the "little old lady" sequence. This was probably shot for TV or something, and isn't included in the special edition DVD or Blu-ray.

I have a Norwegian VHS tape with the scene. I also believe there was a PAL laserdisc with the scene.

Of course you should get Dumb and Dumber on Blu-ray. It's a great movie and is an undeniable upgrade over the DVD. This decision is a no brainer.
