question on Nims Island???

I don't know if I'm in the right forum or not.....I bought Nims Island from someone on ebay and it will play all the previews but when I get to the feature movie it goes back to the previews. Anyone else have any problems with this movie? Any ideas on what is wrong? I have a Sony blu ray player. If I'm not in the right forum to ask this question can someone direct to the proper one? Thank you.

hmm, that sounds very odd. Have you tried, just for kicks, to throw it in a regular dvd player and see if it works?

I only ask because I wonder if you got a true blu-ray movie.

Seems almost like a region issue. With the imports I've purchased, if I try to run the special features, it drops me back to the main menu. Although, on the discs that I have that are actually region locked, I get a message saying it won't play in my player so it's probably not that.

Updating the player firmware is a common response to this sort of thing so that's something you can try. But, normally when there are issues with firmware, we'll get a lot of people complaining about that and I don't remember people complaining about Nim's Island.

Have you tried just bringing up the main menu or pop-up menu to see if you can get to that?

Thanks for suggestions. I guess I will try the firmware update and see if that does it. I have the Sony 300. I can't understand why it will play all the previews and then it starts to play the movie..only the part where the studio name logo comes up and then it will keep starting over with that part. Any other suggestions? It won't play in a regular dvd player. thanks again.

Have you checked the disc for scratches or whatever?

yes, I did check for scratches and it looked fine.
