Default Master Charles' Hallway Home Theater

When I got enough money to buy my TV I had no idea where I was going to put it. I am only 17 and there isn't ample room in my house especially not enough for a home theater.....or so I thought. Our hallway is rather large, it has an indent toward my driveway and the space was being occupied by a large futon that was just loaded up with crap. I decided instead of turning my room into a home theater (my room was way too small) I would convert this hallway. I set up my la-z-boy and stuck the TV on the far side after I cleared the area and since then I have been trying to improve it. Please check it out, tell me what you think and what I can improve upon. I am thinking of putting a red or black curtain behind the TV to cover up that beige.

Check my Gallery!

All of this stuff was paid for by me. The second TV I use to watch cable sometimes if I am playing Xbox 360 on the big TV. I use it more to play Super Nintendo while I am watching sports on the big TV.

Bonus: I have been trying to find a place for these and maybe you guys can help me out. They are hand carved and painted by me and I think they would look sick in my home theater but as you can see I already have a lot of crap. I might just save them for when I get more space.

[Show spoiler]

Double Bonus: I came across this while I was taking the pictures and I thought I would share it with you guys (the only people who can truly appreciate it). When I was around 7 Star Wars really hit me, hard. I think I had strep throat or something and while I was home I made an effort to find them all on HBO, watch them and then record them onto tapes. This was not nearly good enough for me, I had to flaunt my accomplishment. So I took some cardboard and tape and constructed my first box set. The CD cases in there are the soundtracks. Since then I have been hooked on movies and collecting them. Once I have a bigger space I think I will displace this in a case, like a relic in a museum:

[Show spoiler]

Please let me know what you think and what else I can do to improve my setup.

Update: Added pics of my Star Wars Original Film Cell and Yankee cup holder.

The Star Wars box set is one of my most meaningful possessions, now I just need them on BLU!!!!

I like what you have done with what appears to be limited space. Great job!

I'm really diggin it, the sound must be pretty solid in that compact room.

I especially like the smaller T.V for classical games when Sports / Program is on. Me and my homies have a smaller t.v just set for that whenever we feel the urge to play Super Smash Brothers or NBA JAM when a game is on.

I also need a new receiver since mine doesn't do HDMI and I want lossless audio. Any recommendations? I really love my Onkyo but I feel an upgrade would be a nice addition.

Just bought a Mini DVI to HDMI for my macbook and I have boxee running on it. It will add nicely to my home theater. I was going to wait for the Boxee box but it got pushed back to Nov.

I might just buy an old mac mini, I would love to have a home theater computer!

Ah my first Harmony remote. You'll like the 880. I've since had the Harmony One and (2) 1100s. Congrats!

I wasn't sure what to expect going into the thread but after seeing it, you have done a pretty good job with very little space. I have the Harmony 880 and it's been a great remote for me. I have had my eye on the Harmony 900 for awhile now.

I have not changed the icons yet. I knew you could change the theme but you can put any picture you want instead of the icon? I am still just messing around with it and the software (which is great!)

I love the rechargeable battery, how it lights up right when you pick it up. I love the way it feels in your hand.

I still need to pick up the PS3 adapter.

Also a update on the room:

I got a few movie posters I want to put up and I am wondering if I should put them behind my TV? I feel it may detract from the viewing so that is why I am asking.

Also instead of that stupid gaming chair I may be buying this massage chair:

I have a gift card for a furniture store.

That's cool, sounds like you like the same things I mentioned in your thread asking about getting this remote.

and those are the same reasons I want to change my bedroom(620) to an 880. My wife won't let me do, until I claim I sell the 620. I might just get an 880 and tell her I sold the 620.

Or

I might get an 1100 use the 880 in the bedroom.... I don't know, but I do know, I love the 880, which is not going anywhere.

The 1100 is pretty cool looking. You will impress anyone who visits your home theater. Why won't you sell the 620?

I have issue's with selling my stuff, I can't seem to really do it. It's a wierd problem I have.

Sometimes I hate taking stuff back to the store and getting my money back(Only if I like it).....

The only way I can afford things is buy selling stuff and buying refurbished. Without Ebay my theater wouldn't be possible. I sold my Wii for $500 two years ago at Christmas time. Best decision I ever made.

I know people do it, and I heard those amazing story, but I just have issue's with it and can't explain what it is.

simple story:

Years ago when N64 was popular, and I had golden eye, that game was so popular, someone offered me $150 for my copy, but I just couldn't let it go.

Funny thing/worst I still have it and I know it's not worth any money now.... lol
I still have my N64, all the controllers and vib/memory packs and they are just collecting dust, I can't seem to sell them.

Don't get me wrong, I have sold stuff and made money, it's just I have issue's with personal stuff.
