I can't believe this. No way is the iPhone in the same league as the PS3. The PS3 is a much better value than the iPhone. OTOH, cell phones have a larger consumer base than gaming consoles. You'll never see me camp out for a phone.

Its so overhyped and over priced. Apple is making 50% profit on each. There is nothing really new on it per se, just a different looking software. It does all the same things many other phones do, and for ALOT cheaper.

But people who buy into the Apple hype deserve to get taken. Now if they buy this $500 phone, they render their iPODs meaningless. And how much did they pay for those? Sheesh. Good luck!

Don't you have to be with AT&T for it to work? My past experience with AT&T cellular was horrible and I've never looked back since I moved to T-Mobile (plus I like my N80 just fine.)

It's AT&T exclusive. FWIW, AT&T is really just Cingular. AT&T Wireless was bought out by Cingular and put to rest. that's a simplification of course.

Cingular changed their name to AT&T from what I understand.

Yea. I was just saying that if you were an AT&T Wireless customer then the company you were with was bought out by Cingular. Cingular then changed it's departmental name to AT&T Mobility with it's official name being just AT&T.

they're trying to streamline all their departmental names to accentuate AT&T. The problem being is that AT&T Wireless was such a bad brandname it's actually hurting them. So they're trying to differentiate to everyone that it's technically a different company. Hence the slogan, "The new AT&T".

Name recognition is all the move was about really. The problem is some people recognize the name in a way they'd rather it not be recognized.

Nope, I am with you. It probably won't flop because of all the hype, but one can hope. I am sick of all the Apple over-hype on everything. They don't invent anything, just repackage stuff and charge twice as much. Show me something on your $500+ iPhone that my t-mobile DASH can't do, and I mean function, not just "ooo the icons have roll-overs".

Sick. Absolutely disgusting what people are doing/selling this phone for. Its a damn phone for Christs sake. I hope there is some bug that cripples this phone. Not to mention it is with one of the shitiest carriers in the country. Idiots, all of them. To camp out for a freaking phone that already costs 600 bux? Wat to show the man just how pathetic you are. No wonder the US is a ***** whipped country.
