Default Is Ultimate Avengers worth a blind buy?

I noticed that Amazon had "The Ultimate Avengers 1 and 2 on sale for $8.99! My nephew is a fan, well,I love the live action films, never seen any of the animated movies yet,can anybody tell me if this is a good deal for the $? Seem like pretty good deal for 2 animated films! How is the PQ and audio/extras,if any? Like Dr. Evil,NEED THE INFO!

Mr. White, first question, how old is your nephew because its really not for kids, some violence but nothing too major and its 2 movies in one, its great animation, story and overall quality, its $9, just get it. You wont be disappointed, thats Batman's guarantee

Both are good films, except the second film's ending was kind of mediocre. Other than that I'd say it's worth a blind buy.

I just ordered this one myself. I already had the SD DVDs, but as it's been pointed out above you just can't beat the price. Definitely not as entertaining as some of Lionsgate/Marvel's later releases(i.e. Doctor Strange, Next Avengers, Hulk vs), but I may be somewhat biased because of previously reading the comics they were based upon.

I have both the Ultimate Avenger movies on DVD and love the films. Lots of repeat viewing with my 5 year old son. I haven't bought them on blu so I have no idea how they look.

We also have the Next Avengers (cool but lacks all the usually super-hero's) and we also just bought the HULK VS THOR and HULK VS WOLVERINE. Both of these were great. They even looked really good on regular DVD but on Blu they would be mindblowing.

Hard for us to buy the true "kids" movies on blu because they only have DVD in their rooms and watch a lot of movies in there at night.

But if anyone has a blu review of any of the Marvel animated movies, that would be great.

Yeh just saw the price $6.99 at tower.com,just my FREAKING LUCK,does anybody know if Amazon gives a penalty if you send something back brand new? I use their self paid media mail labels you print on the PC? Does amazon price match after you bought it? They used to!!! I thought 8.99 was cool, but 6.99 is still better!

If you ordered recently and they havent shipped it yet, you can just cancel your order. I made a return to Amazon once and I dont remember the details but it was smooth sailing. If you wind up having to send it back, I'd just chalk up the $2 loss for your worries.

I've seen UA 1&2 and thought the 1st one was significantly better than the 2nd( I could definitely live without). Unfortunately, with the BD release you can't have one without the other With that said, for $8.99 I say go and buy it.

What the heck as I'm getting more into animated films on BD lately. I might as well give this one a try also well. No sweat just renting it and seeing what one thinks first regardless of a low price.

The first one has a good story while the second one has a less interesting story but better looking animation. I would get it as you can not go wrong with two decent movies on one BD.
