RIP Walter Cronkite, the ultimate "anchorman". His daughter Kathy had a brief acting career and had small roles in "The Trial Of Billy Jack" and "Billy Jack Goes To Washington".

I am 50 years old and have a lot of memories of watching Walter Cronkite deliver the news on the CBS Evening News program. For so many years he covered the space program. I have so many fond memories of him explaining the Apollo moon missions. He was a legend and I have missed him since he was forced into retirement. One thing I miss most is his unbiased reporting of the news. After retirement it became clear he was a liberal, as a conservative, I never felt like I knew his opinion and believe he reported the news fairly and honestly--allowing the viewer to come to their own conclusions. This is so different than today's reporters and anchorman who feel it is their job to slant the news to promote their own political or network views. I yearn for the day when the news is simply reported accurately and fairly and wish that today's reporters would take a lesson from the "Cronkite" school of journalism that the reporter is not the story but simply a storyteller. RIP Mr. Cronkite.
