Speaker causing Amp to go in safe mode

I just built my theater room and was plugging in my speakers and while testing them my right speaker is very low, when I turn the volume up, it causes the amp to shut down in protect mode.

Now I took the speaker out and plugged it directly into the amp and it works fine.

My question is could it be a bad wire, or the fact the right speaker is on the same wall as my breaker box but on the other side.

Now I tried to get it as far as I could, but could it be the breaker box being near the speaker cause the speaker wire to increase in voltage?

I had a similar problem and figured out that the gauge of speaker wire I was using was to thick, I had to go back to a smaller gauge wire to fix the problem.
