Default Iron Man 3 the 3D IMAX.

HEY,

It seems that Jon Favreau is racing against time talking about the Iron Man 3 the 3D IMAX experience.

here is the link. Enjoy:

If they are going to do a IMAX blow up they really need to start scanning in prints at 4K for IMAX 2K is waaaay too low especially after IMAX applys DNR and EE to it, it almost looks like a DVD. And I would like to see Iron Man 3 shot in 3D but if it just gets shot in 2D and converted to 3D I will pass on the IMAX experience.

What happened to the rumor doing the rounds about specific scenes in IM2 being shot especially with an IMAX 3D camera...

I recall Faverau saying he had wanted to do Iron Man's HUD all 3D to really immerse the audience in the Armour that Stark wears!!!

That's a very interesting idea. I think that would create a really cool effect for the movie.

Sad to say this.... I only JUST saw the first Iron Man last weekend, and i've owned it for like 7 months or something. Just one of those discs I never got around to watching for fear of the Dark Knight effect... ie hearing so much hype about a movie that it fails in every way to live up.... well Iron Man did not let me down at all. Liked it better then TDK can't wait for a follow up. 3D or 2D makes no difference as long it's good.

Wow, I actually I was more like you. I don't want to watch movies in theaters anymore, i just wanna get them depending on reviews.

but I don't see myself having the discipline to do so.

It's not a matter of discipline really. Just such a deep and abiding hatred for idiots that keeps me away from the theater. Went to Harry Potter because I had to see it, could have waited though to be honest.

Plus I like my setup so much better than a theater.

I feel like I'm behind the times a lot though, as everyone has already seen these movies a few times by the time I get around to it.

You R actually right about this. The last movie I saw was TF2. and I refuse to go watch anymore movies in Theaters. The last 2 or 3 times I went there were obnoxious people who kept talking through out the movie, which annoyed the crap out of me. I got to thinking, I am not going to spend 12 bucks anymore to watch a movie in a theatre and have some one ruin it for me.

That's not saying I didn't like Dark Knight, just that I thought it was overall an average superhero movie. Nothing special to me. Had Heath Ledger been alive when it came out there's no doubt in my mind it would have grossed a lot less.

I still wonder why the craze? Why the hype? Why the millions of people decrying it as the best thing to happen to filmmaking since 35mm film?

Sorry if I offend any of the crazies out there. I just don't get it.

I don't consider myself a Batman Crazy. Although I agree with you that the Iron Man was better, I still don't think that Heath unfortunate death would have made any difference to how successful TDK is. I think the only reason TDK was successful mostly because the Joker was the villain in the film. After all, the Joker is one of the most respected/twisted villains out there.

That could be it, but you can't deny the effect his death had on the movie's reception. Long before it was out it was already being hyped to death.

I still think Jack Nicholson's Joker was pretty darn good too. I've only seen TDK twice though so maybe I need to go back and watch it again.

you r right. his death may have contributed to the success of the film a bit. but I don't think it was the major drive on why the movie was very successful.
