Pretty interesting....

I did Predator 2 DVD as a trade in just for example, and it's worth $3.25 on Amazon. If I traded this to moviestop, I'd probably get over a $1 for the trade in. I might have to check this out a little more. Thanks!

BTW Predator 2 comes on June 9th on blu, and I'm upgrading.

some of those trade-in values are beyond bad. $2.50 for a season of seinfeld. way better off selling it on eBay

I wonder if we can get rid of some of our cover-less WB HD DVDs (or even the new audio-inferior Blu-rays) we ended up with from Red2Blu...

Does Amazon say your item has to be disc+case+cover art?

EDIT: YES.

Well, I was very interested in doing it but their selection of titles they buy back sucks!!! No spider-man 1 and 2, Kill Bill 1 or 2, braveheart reg. edition, harry potter 1-4, etc. How can they not buy back these big name dvd's!!?!

OP here--

Star & All-yes agreed-it seems they are trying to "sneak" this out, to put out feelers, similar to what they did with their game trading program. But hopefully they add more titles. It would be great if they just added a button under each "Add to cart" button for every item they carry, that said "trade". But I guess they don't want to anger market place sellers, by offering too many item-specific buying/trading options, in this 1st roll out?

Yeah, there's quite a few DVDs/Blu-Rays not on the list.

I like the idea and the prices are reasonable compared to secondspin.com (some higher, some lower), but the selection is pretty limited right now. I didn't find any of the Disney titles I searched for.

I think the idea behind this may be to get people to upgrade to Blu -- which is what they advertise when you go to the trade-in link. Although it pains me to get only about a dollar each, I'm going to send some HD DVDs their way -- I don't figure I could make much more (if anything) selling them anyplace else. If I can upgrade to Blu, I will.
