Question about Madden 11 - Blu-ray Forum

By me asking this question I really hope I dont get heat for it.

I was playing online yesterday with a friend he was winning with 3 1/2 mins left in the 4th. He had the ball. He pretty much just started letting the play clock run down to 2 seconds(while the game clock ran down also). Then at 2 seconds he would snap the ball and run. I would Tackle him.

Then he would do the same thing over again. Rinse and Repeat.

I understand Teams do that but I never seen them do that 3 mins or more left in the 4th.

When I am up in the 4th. I play like normal I just run the ball every time. To kill the clock.

So I dont know what to think. If someone could please explain to me if that fair to do it with that many mins left in the clock or Cheap unless you do that with about a min left or so on the clock.

I asked this question before(not on here) and all I got was responses of people twisting my words. Saying I said I am the greatest Madden player and people suck etc. Which I never said anything remotely to that.

Everyone has their different style of game play. If that's what the person wants to do. So be it. It's cheap, but it's a lobby game where anything goes.

If you want to play within rules.. you should join our bluray leagues

If I'm afraid the other player might come back, I will absolutely milk the clock. Heck sometimes I would do it if my defense couldn't stop the other team's offense.

Yeah, it's a legitimate strategy, but of course in a game of Madden (unless you're playing 15 minute quarters), it can get pretty cheap.

If you're up by less than a touchdown, with 2-3 minutes left in the game, and you have the ball, you're just tempting fate by just running plays normally. Throw a pick, drop a fumble, and you LOSE.

I do this to my buddy all the time!!!

Of course when I’m up by 21 w/less than 3 min. to go, I’ll get totally reckless and give him a faint idea that he has a chance to come back and just start throwing bomb’s!!!

He gets really pissed when they get completed and I score even more!!!

He usually goes all out blitz on my @ the end so I’ll always throw up a long fade to my #1 recv’r.

I start to milk the clock in the first quarter if I am winning. But I really suck so this is my only defense
