It should appear at least as good as the HD broadcast appears.

Could be noticeably better as well though. If you value quality, and don't mind paying a little extra for it, go for it.

I see it every week on CBS HD, it's pretty sweet PQ. So I would think that the BD will be even better. Plus it's such a funny show, the writing on this show is some of the best I've seen ever for a sitcom.

its definitely one of the best written sitcoms out there, all of the characters are great, and any combination of them is hillarious, i will definitely get the blu rays

I've been mulling the same questions myself, DVD or BD. I like how the DVD's look and might just go ahead and get the DVD version considering I have Seasons 1-3 on DVD.

Think it comes out 9/28.

As to the OP: I can't imagine HIMYM would look bad on BD. I'll definitely buy (though I won't replace my seasons 1 - 3 if they're released on BD).
