Ok so Sony basically owns the bluray format, correct? So if the next Nintendo or Microsoft system wants to utilize bluray discs (I mean they can't keep using DVDs forever) do they have to ask Sony's permission or pay Sony to use the Bluray format? Do all makers of bluray drives (panasonic, lg, oppo, etc) have to pay Sony some type of royalty? Just some things I was pondering. Thanks.
