Anything marked by this statement on Amazon.co.uk:

"Items for dispatch to UK will be sold by Amazon's Preferred Merchant."

will not subtract the VAT for non-EU customers from the pricing. Sadly Amazon.co.uk seems to be shifting much of their product into this category, making it less of a deal for Americans in general.

I was not charged VAT for my purchase of this item this morning for shipment to Canada.

Thanks for the tip Grubert, I was about to purchase the UCE here in Canada, but I could really do without all the swag. Space has gotten to a premium.

D'oh. Earlier this morning it was shipping from amazon.co.uk - lucky I ordered at once.
