United Kingdom Terminator Films

Since in the UK, the original Terminator hasn't yet been released, anyone got any news on this one?

Also, on the Terminator 2: Judgment Day - Skynet Edition Blu-Ray that is out now, does anyone have a picture of the normal packaging, not the steel book.

And finally, is it worth picking up the current release of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines? Is it more like a DVD port to Blu-ray, like the early titles, or has it got new Blu-Ray special features?

Can't answer the first two questions, but for the third one, I have T3 UK edition on blu and even though it's not loaded with extra features, the PQ and AQ are definitely very good. The menu is nothing fancy but it's very user-friendly. Here's a short overview of the disc in my online collection:

I have the North America Bluray of The Terminator. It'll play on all machines so why not get that?

£10.96 www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B000F9RB9Y
£10.99 www.dvdworldusa.com/shopexd.asp?id=2270
£15.99 http://www.movietyme.com/catalog/pro...ducts_id=32843

MGM should own those rights for the UK but maybe there's a problem.

I would recommend getting T3 as it's complete garbage. I watched T4 the other night and was ready to write it off but ended up liking it a bit. Not as a Terminator film but as an action film. Film was saved by Bale and a few new ideas. Still poor though but I'll be watching it again in a few months on Bluray to fully decide on its fate

Ah, since Sony handle a lot of MGM home video stuff that's maybe why there's no UK The Terminator. Bad for fans of just the Cameron films if they don't know about the North American release.

Sure it'll arrive some time.

I know..but two problems..

Firstly I don't like the slim American cases..then secondly there is apparently a Skynet Edition of T1 coming out, which was posted on here not too long back..which I guess I'll be waiting around for.

Not to mention the wait for better PQ. The first US release was very crap in the PQ department (I had seen it as a friend I know imported it).

This new version which will be more worthy of picking up asuming they don't screw up.

I found the first Terminator at a boot sale for £2! How jammy was that!
Not the best transfer ever, but a huge upgrade from DVD, plus it has PCM uncompressed audio..

Wait I've heard rumours that the new Terminator release is a Skynet edition. Anyone else heard this. If it is I demand Skynet editions of Terminator 3 and 4

Im defaintly holding out for the new skynet terminator film. I may get the second one too, is that version better then the first T2 release? And whats the difference between the steel tin version and normal one?

I wont bother with the third film, I thought that was awful.

I did enjoy the new Terminator film, it was different. So will get that too!
