Japan PS2 RPG“s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys, i need some help, can u recommend me the best rpgs for PS2?
I have already beaten Dragon Quest 8, and Kingdom Hearts 2, and all the FF games.

The prices are extremely low now so i thought i should buy some.

What about Odin Sphere, Disgaea 2, Rogue Galaxy.

What are the golden ones? I like that cozy old fairytale look. No futuristic stuff. Odin Sphere looks spot on, bu there must be more games out there with that fairytale look if u know what i mean.

Pls help out.

Disgaea 1 is better then 2. Those 2 other choices are good choices also Grimgrimoire(sp?). Ar Tonelico is kind of similar in graphics like the old school Star Ocean games. La Pucelle Tactics and also Phantom Brave are good choices as well.

Rogue Galaxy is probably one of my favorite PS2 RPGs. It doesn't take itself too seriously and is incredibly addictive. If you liked Dragon's Quest 8, this game should be right up your alley (major difference would be real-time combat as opposed to turn-based).

If you played Disgaea, you know what to expect with Disgaea 2. Very good game that'll probably suck 100+ hours out of your life.

Odin Sphere is one game I haven't played. I hear good things though.

I'd also strongly recommend...
- Persona 3 FES
- Persona 4 (after playing Persona 3 of course so you're not spoiled by a few of the gameplay improvements)
- Shin Megami Tensai Nocturne
- Shadow Hearts (old game yes, but still one of the best and most unique RPGS the PS2 has to offer)
- Suikoden 5 (a return to form for the series)

Hope that helps!

Although not a true RPG, I recommend Shadow of the Colossus. It's more of an action/puzzle/adventure, but one of the best games I've ever played on the PS2. I bought it back in December and played it while I waited for the Fallout 3 patch to come out. Totally worth it.

Its the PS2 Port of the Gameboy Advance Game Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories but upgraded and a few added things.

As for SH Covenant i recently picked it up so i haven't played it yet as im still in the hunt for the 1st Shadow Hearts to play first. They are both revered as 2 of the best PS2 RPGs out there though.

I own New World, I thought it was a interesting take, and any time a rpg can make me laugh as hard as I have laughed while playing it, gives it more golden stars..

Wow I might have to pick up chain of memories then...

SotC is a very good game, but there's no way it can be considered an RPG. Technically, Devil May Cry is more of an RPG than SotC.

as long as you like a rpg + ccg game. the cool thing about though is that it takes 1 year before the events in Kingdom Hearts 2

Exactly, i have price points im willing to pay, and $50 for a used game is not one of them. I was originally waiting for Suikoden V to hit clearance, but i was never successful at finding it. And Shadow Hearts im just waiting for a decent Price, just like i recently picked up Ico and Shadow Hearts Covenant at Gamestop during their Buy 2 Get 1 sale and used my Edge card for an extra 10%.

Note: if you've seen just my PS2 RPG collection, think of the rest of my backlog, im talking years at this point to play 40+ hour games.
