Default Supernatural on blu?

Any news / rumors on Supernatural being released on blu-ray?

I am thinking of buying Season 1 and 2, but if there will be a high def version I might wait. It's Warner and pretty high on my favorite tv show list

Not that I know of. It would be cool though. They should make every TV show available on Blu-ray.

I think they barely released Smallville on Blu and that's the most successful show on the network.

It seems like if any shows are released on blu they are normally hit tv shows that bring in a lot of viewers.

For those of us that loved Buffy and Angel, Supernatural and Reaper help make the pain bearable.

I think it eventually will. The studios seem to be still milking all they can out of SD DVD. Once that revenue stream starts to slow, then I'm sure more shows will release blu-rays starting with the most recent season first.

SO, to bring this back from the dead.

Supernatural Season 3 is set to hit by all accounts next week on Nov. 11th. This is for me one of my most anticipated titles, especially given I haven't even seen a HD broadcast of the show due to the lack of CW HD for me. I haven't heard anyone getting this early or any reviews or anything, so I wanted to see if anyone else has yet?

What's the packaging like? Is it in a normal movie case ala Smallville Season 7? Any pics by chance?

Cheers

The packaging is a regular Blu-ray case, of course slighly thicker than a regular movie. The season comes with a slip cover, 3-discs, and a digital copy code to redeem the whole season on iTunes as well.

EXCELLENT NEWS!! Consider me jealous. I know you scored Smallville early too, good for you! Really looking forward to next week to see it for myself. It was such a great season. (And this one is shaping up even better)

I'm really loving each season more than the previous which is unusually weird for a show, the only current shows that come to mind for me as actually better than any season before would be Supernatural and Friday Night Lights. I am really looking forward to hell on earth and the inevitable Sam vs. Dean showdown

Season 3 places a greater focus on humor because WB's almost dead (aka, smaller budget). Good stuff regardless.

s2 is probably my favorite =]
