Default DreamWorks to Remain Neutral?

Quote:
Katzenberg said the studio has no plans to release movies on high-definition DVD in 2006.

"We're waiting to see where it's going," he said. "I don't think anybody has a good feel as to which platform, if not a combined platform, is going to get out there. And when it does, until it has got some meaningful penetration, we just want to be cautious about it."

I read recently that DreamWorks is up for sale and both Universal (their normal distributor) and Warner were interested. Wonder what's going on with that since it could play a part in which format they end up supporting.
