My friend is going to England so I am planning on getting him to buy me some blus..

Right now I only know of

The Island
Terminator 3

What other UK blus do you recommend?

Almost Famous (not released in US so far and no plans);
Casino Royale (Collector's Edition comes in superb case with books, photos, etc.);
Lucky Number Slevin (better PQ than the US release);
Man On Fire (lots of extras while US release has none);
Raging Bull (better PQ than the US release + nice slipcover if you're lucky);
Rules of Attraction (not released in US so far and no plans);
Sweeney Todd (Steelbook);
Wanted (Steelbook, but US has CE which is even more attractive).

Equilibrium from UK I would not recommend - sound is pretty low in all aspects. Get the Japanese import instead - killer PQ and True HD sound.

The only UK movies I have are Peter Pan and Thirteen Ghosts.
I'm also going to order Tim Burton's Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.

Blu-rays are often ridiculously expensive in B&M stores in Europe. Even with overseas shipping it would likely be less expensive to order from amazon.co.uk than whatever price you could find in-store, plus you wouldn't have to pay tax.

I believe the U.K. has a bunch of concert BD's that are not available in the U.S.... Might want to check them out...

Zulu

It's the only UK import I have but it is very stunning to look at. Nice extras that play on US players too. Highly recommended.

Some that I can recommend because I own them:
- Terminator 2 (regular UK edition still has better PQ than any US edition IMHO)
- Terminator 3
- Monkey Magic, the Movie (unreleased in US)
- Starship Troopers (heard it's a better version than the US in PQ and AQ)
- Van Helsing (not out in US yet)
- Bourne Trilogy (same content, except for the box, but much cheaper)

Movies I don't own but should be worth it:
- Highlander
