My Oppo is still fairly new, but I've managed to play several discs on it so far and haven't had any notable issues until tonight. I picked up the Horseman, distributed by Screen Media, and put it in the machine. Some crummy trailers in the beginning played with no issues, but when it got to the menu screen the image was all blown up, like about four times what it should have been. Hit the play button since there was no onscreen option and the movie started playing. The Screen Media logo came up at the normal size, but once the actual film began the image was giant. Like someone had blown the screen up, then quartered it and I was watching the top left section.
Tried the same disc on a PS3 and standalone Samsung 3600 with no issues. The firmware on the Oppo is current, and I went through the various video settings on the machine looking to see if something would repair the problem, but nothing until I took it out and played it in the PS3. Has anyone else run into this issue, or even heard of anyone else having the issue? Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated, since I'm more or less at a loss. Thanks!
