Insignia NS-BRDVD4 internet connection message?

just got this player and when on and not playing a disc, the screensaver/menu screen has on the lower right side a box saying "it appears that your player does not have an internet connection set up" or words to that effect. can anyone tell me how to make that box go away? i don't intent at this time to connect this player to the internet, and this box continually popping up is a minor annoyance, but one i'd like to make go away if possible. thanks for any info.
p.s. this seems to be a pretty good and functional basic player, although when it boots up and spins the disc before playing, it seems a bit noisy. otherwise, nice menus and play.
