Ordered PS3 game on Amazon and got an XBOX game instead???? - Blu-ray Forum

So I just got my UPS shipment that had my Bluray copy of Children of Men (yippeeeee!) and a PS3 copy of "Madden '08".

However, the Madden game, which the order page had a picture of the PS3 cover, was an XBOX copy of the game.

WTF?

Anyone ever had this happen? I just contacted the seller and let them know I was NOT happy. I really don't wanna spend the money to ship this back, as I'm pretty tapped out right now.

*sigh*

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. I've never had that happen with Amazon. I did have it happen at a Gamestop one time though. I was buying an original Xbox game (several years ago obviously), and when I got home and opened it, there was the PS2 version. Now I've learned to check used games before I leave the store. But you know if you didn't limit yourself to a single console, it wouldn't be a big issue.

By the way, how did the seller respond?

I'd just send it back AFTER he refunds your $, if he doesn't then report it, the seller should be willing to work with you. I believe Amazon also covers all 3rd party sales.

Post back when you contact the seller, either way you should be covered by Amazon.

I pre-ordered my PS3 copy of Guitar Hero: World Tour (the full band in a box version)....and they sent me the Wii version.

Wasn't a happy chappy.

i would also advise leaving a poor feedback rating if they don't respond within a full week (to me, prompt and courteous communication--if utilized--is half the rating)...that'll get them to respond
