How to start MGS4?? - Blu-ray Forum

Excuse my stupidity, but I don't know how to start the game? Once I did the virtual range, watched the mission briefing, and pressed new game, it took me to this 'TV' where I get to change channels. I don't know what to do now, because I can't quit anything. How do I get to the actual game?

This is a funny post. You'll enjoy the game, trust me. MGS4 is filled with half hour mission briefings and hour and a half cut scenes.

I also thought that TV thing was ridiculous when I played the game. To this day I still don't understand what it's purpose was. Anyway the gameplay is great. Just make sure you don't have anywhere to be when a cutscene comes on because you're going to be there for quite a while.

why so? I thought MGS4 was a great game? Are you referencing the fact that the cut scenes are more movies then brief scenes? lol

If i remember right, the TV at the beginning advertises a lot of the game mechanics and some weapons.

It mentions:

Snake Eye Patch
Cameo

I have not played for a while, but i do remember those.

I think he's also talking about you just don't go into the game guns blazing. You have to take things slowly, be calm, sneak around. Be a stealth ninja.

Yeah I can't picture the OP waiting 2 minutes in prone position just to study the enemy movement patterns =P

I can, but it's just that I rented it a while ago, and I waited 10 minutes, and it never loaded. I'm already pretty far into the game.
