Awesome player for sure. My only complaint is the slow startup and load times. You will want to make sure and update the firmware when you get it home.

For the price of the remote I would just get a Harmony.

I'd get it. Been looking for a deal on that player myself. I'd go with a universal remote over than one for it though.

It is a quality player. I sold my used one for $125 CDN a few weeks ago, so it is a decent price. If you already have a universal remote, like a Harmony, I would forgo the remote. Or even consider getting a Harmony remote, because that is pricey for a replacement remote.

Picture quality is very good on the player, and video options are fun to play with. Included with the latest firmware is the ability to decode all the latest audio codecs and output them with the 7.1 analog outputs, so it can be used however you like it.

As mentioned, the only complaints I had with mine are the slow start-up and load times. But if you're not impatient, like I am , it will serve you well for quite some time. The build quality seems second to none.

call up ultimate electronics. Its $179 on their site and you can negotiate it down to probably $140ish if you are good. they are authorized elite dealer. if you dont have a store in the area, call them directly and buy through their corporate business to business department.

i bought a bdp-05fd from them for $325 shipped 4 months ago. But i actually sold it last week for $400 lmao

51FD is a very good quality player I think.
Do you know where I could get online around that price?

Hi,
You said, you have LX71 or 05FD in US. Is it looks identical to 51FD? Some said that LX71 has a metal front face, is it true, bro?

No it's not a metal front but it's a great looking player IMO compared the the Panny I also have, here's a pic:

Cannot believe how cheap players are in the U.S compared the the prices here in Oz, the LX71 retails for $1450.00Aus
