Default So tell me, how is Wanted on BD?

After beating the game nearly three times, I think It's about time I got the movie. Generally, I have been reading these general things about the movie:

• Quite possibly, one of the greatest soundtracks and music renditions since the Matrix....

• Wanted is either seen as a piece of garbage....or a piece of garbage that is so damned beautiful and well done.....or perhaps a mix of both...

• Fast Paced. Is it as fast paced as Crank, or slower?

Tell me about it! I mean come on, it has General Zod (Terence Stamp)..it has to be awesome.

Sure, the critics always slam graphic novel adaptations, but I have to agree that Wanted is one of my favorite and best Blus. The picture and sound (especially the sound effects) are one of the most outstanding I've witnessed on Blu. As for the movie itself, I love it. It is fast paced (haven't seen Crank) and enjoyable. I recommend it, but you're best bet is to rent it first to see for yourself.

I would say that U can blind buy it. It is awesome. Like said above, it is reference quality, demo material on both audio and video. The concept of the movie is also original and there is a nice plot. Moreover, U have Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie in it.
It is fast paced by the way.

I did not like the movie. Seemed like a recycled mix of Fight Club, Matrix (both of which I Love) and generic X (add your own) action film and just did not know what it wanted (no pun intended) to be.

Sound was very good, but certainly not the best on BR and a bit overated in general IMO. PQ was reference.

Total Rental IMO.

I thought that Wanted was among one of the best action movies of 2008 (although The Dark Knight still holds the crown for "Greatest Film of 2008"). The action was very Matrix-like, but that shouldn't turn you off from Wanted in any way. And as far as the film being fast-paced as Crank or slower, I'd say that about 80% of the film was fast-paced and the other 20% was a little slow. But again, the paceness of the film shouldn't turn you off from it. The picture and sound quality on the Blu-ray are indeed reference quality, and ranks among one of Universal's best Blu-rays by far. And James McAvoy (you might remember him from "The Last King of Scotland" with Forest Whitaker and "Atonement" with Keira Knightley) just flat-out surprised me with his performance of former cube-dweller/now-professional assassin Wesley Gibson. McAvoy really held his own amongst the likes of Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie, and the aforementioned Terence Stamp. Don't hesitate to add Wanted to your collection, FendersRule!

Story is ok, acting is ok, pq is great, and the aq is great. Is it as fast paced as Crank? Not even close, but it moves along nicely.

The film is a great popcorn flick. Lots of activity for your HT system. The pq is very good and the bass is very good.

... Besides, gratuitous shot of Angelina's ass!

If you're into that sort of thing.

Basically, I look at Wanted as a great action movie with a nice twist 2/3's into the movie (don't worry, I won't spoil it). It's also quite original in the way it portrays certain things and characterizes some of the characters.

Compared to Crank, it's much, much better. I watched Crank and even though seeing Jason Statham driving a motorcycle wearing an operation robe whilest having an erection is heaps of fun, the story itself is pretty poor. Wanted has a pretty good story, in my opinion.

If you don't have it on blu-ray yet, get it!

watched in the theatre on a friend's recommendation and felt duped! should have watched Wall-E..

it was ok the first time you watch it due to all the slow motion stuff you might be in awe.. but it's the kind of film you sit down and think about how stupid the whole movie was..

Fenders, if you like a good deal of realism in your movies, then it's not for you. The physics in this movie will HURT YOUR BRAIN if care about realism, especially the last scene (which is laughable). The plot is pretty ridiculous, and Angelina is supposed to be a badass assassin yet she looks like a twig. There's a lot of ridiculous car stunts, but the Viper was sick! All in all, I think if you like being entertained by over the top action flicks, then check it out. Otherwise, don't expect a great movie.

Not a bad movie. It was fun if you just remember it's a movie base on a comic of course. I tought the BD was very good. I never bought it simply because I don't see myself watching this movie very often, not enough to purchase the movie in any case but it was fun.

PQ and AQ is reference. And if you don't mind having a pretty mindless action movie and can hold the suspension of disbelief it's a very fun and entertainging movie.
