Default What Size, Format and Picture!

Ive currently got a 21.6" 1080p LCD TV in my room. I bought it about 6 months ago but want a bigger TV despite shelling out £170 for the TV. However, I recently bought a Blu Ray player and want to get the full viewing experience from it, that and coming home watching Blade Runner in full Blu Ray glory on my dads Panny 50" Plasma has made me realise how much I want a bigger tv.
In my new room I sit around 5-6ft away from the TV and Im not sure what size or even what type of tv to get. I was originally thinking of a 32" HD ready LCD TV. However, I saw my aunts 37" full HD LCD TV on the weekend and loved the picture and look. But Im not sure it'd be too big for the distance. But once I start getting to 37", TVs are around £450 and for just £50 more you can get a 42" Plasma HD Ready TV and I preffer Plasma to LCD but at that size HD Ready, is it as good as 37" FULL HD. Im really in a pickle. Ive got a while to decide as I probably wont be buying or have the funds until just after christmas but Ive been thinking about it the last few days. Any opinions guys, thanks.
