I think it would be interesting to get a general consensus on what, if anything, you've grown tired of seeing in movie trailers. Trailers are still by far the main way to generate hype, but a lot of them are done the same way, even if the stories are different.
For example, many trailers seem to be fond of high pitch screeching noises for every gd blackout cut nowadays. Sprinkle that with a few unrealistic fight scenes entirely derived in CGI, and eventually, nothing stands out. Do you think that is causing audience fatigue? Giving away the entire plot of the movie.
I find that very annoying. |

I don't know that there's a consistent thread in trailers that truly bothers me, but I do know that after the endless ads I don't like sitting through a minimum of 8 trailers before the movie I came to see finally starts whenever I go to my local multiplex; enough already!

"In a world ..."
single piano notes to punctuate the fade in/fade out on quick establishing shots vinyl record scratch. Yes, vinyl has made a comeback in recent years, but only with collectors. Many people born after 1990 only know this sound from movie trailers. |
