I live in the states. I was wondering if I buy Batman and Batman returns from amazon uk would it work on my blu ray player? It say that the format is PAL?

You can certainly play them, my friend. Ignore the sketchy Amazon specs, PAL does not apply to HD material, and the extras are in NTSC anyway. Enjoy them.

Don't worry about it, according to thedigitalbits.com, it will be announced very soon for a US release and will likely be available sometime next month.

Does anyone know why this site lists these movies as being released this week? Went to best buy today and didn't see them

Definitely a YMMV affair, I think. My Best Buy has had them out for three weeks.
