This may have been discussed somewhere else, but I was just wondering if anyone knew why, certain films will get a Blu release in another country but not in the US. I don't mean a catalog title, but a new release.
I'll use "Kaboom" as an example. It has a french Blu-Ray, but will only be getting a DVD release here in May. It seems just a tad on the stupid side to me, that there is already a Blu-Ray transfer available, if the US company doesn't want to take the time to do it themselves why not just license the existing one, and use that for a release? |

It seems silly , but it has been going on for years. Its actually not that bad as a lot of time one of the releases is better then the other. People with region free players can take advantage of that to get the best release possible. If they were all the same transfer you would be stuck with whatever your got.
