Mine was Tears of the Sun, which I bought in October, but didn't get to watch in HD until last month.

My first was Lord of War. Really enjoyed the movie and figured I would get something that would be able to showcase the advantages of Blu-ray.

I bought the three Superman movies (The Movie, 2: The Donner Cut, and Returns) before I had a player to play them in, in anticipation.

Same here.
However my Blu-ray player came with 3 other titles of my choosing. I picked Terminator 2, Superman Returns, and Monster House.

My first purchase was Kingdom of Heaven. I had not even checked out reviews or anything, so I didn't know in advance how great the transfer to Blu-ray was. Got me hooked immediately

Nine Inch Nails: Beside You In Time.

Still one of the best in my collections. I can see sweat drops falling down Trent's face even. Pristine. Crystal clear. And what sound!

I bought all of the launch titles except the Fifth Element, which I did eventually acquire for a BDP-S1. I continued to buy every single BD I could get my hands on until September.

I think you see the best results in BD with the older movies that have certain limits....

they seem to translate these movies into HD rather well....especially the old Star Wars flicks as well.....

and I don't care who wins/loses this format war....I have my PS3 and my BD movies that will work in HD for as long as my PS3 works...

but if I were a betting man(which I am)...I'd bet a pretty penny on BD at this point.....once they drop the PS3 in Europe...it will be comparable to Hiroshima.........
