Default X-Files shot in HD?

Hey all,

I was just wondering, with everything shot in HD, was the few first seasons of X-Files shot in HD? I would love to own them, but the DVD's of the first few seasons were horrible so I was wondering if it would be possible they were shot in HD.

Thanks for the input.

I believe the series was shot in 35mm for the most part. But, considering the amount of special effects that were used, the DVDs may have been sourced from video (not HD video).

No the first 4 or 5 seasons were all in SD, even thought on TNT they show older episodes in HD. I know on the first season dvd's the picture was horrible with aliasing, video noise, and morie problems. Hopefully if Fox decides to release them on Blu Ray they can manage to do a good job of cleaning up the first few seasons.

I know that the episode that took place on the Queen Mary was shot in HD. I believe it was one of the first television episodes to do so. There was a lot of industry buzz about that at the time.

Default would be great

If they could clean them up and redo them but i believe it was in season 5 when the changeover occured ,it would be a nice addition to the library but they would have to do a really good job on them and i don`t know what they could do for the earlier seasons

Welcome to the realities of weekly television production between 1984 and 1998 or so.
