Default Any puruse craigslist for retro gear?

Im finding I am getting this habit where I search craigslist for retro gear. Something about the look of that style makes it look neat now adays.

Anyone else do this? Anyone reccomend some great retro gear that I should be looking out for? Just receivers and amps, not speakers.

If you like retro gear of decent quality try some of the older Pioneer offerings. Amps like the SPEC-1 and SPEC-II or integrated amps like the SA-9500II are wonderfully built and are to this day still very highly prized by the vintage audiophile community.

Of course, getting something along the lines of a McIntosh would be even better, especially their tube amp offerings.

i do all the time. i almost some of the best speakers made by polk, the sda 2's on there for $250, i was only limited by my receivers lack of power to get them running. There are tons of gems and bargains to be had on there!

It is a steal for $70USD. If you do consider this, be prepared to change the stylus at the very least, if not the entire cartridge. Chances are it'll be shot and do more damage to those beloved Modest Mouse LP's of yours. If your budget is in the $200 range or thereabouts, I'd look at a used Pro-ject Debut II or III.....

That is the kind of honesty I was looking for. I will be saving for the Rega or Project then.
