Just be aware that the UK version is not in the OAR, but open matted and also has DD 5.1 audio. Japanese release is far better.

Its a great action flick, I thought it looked fine on blu, but the 5.1DD sure its punchy, but I would of liked a DTS-MA or TrueHD.

Is it only Open Matte, or is there cropping on the sides? I dont mind Open Matte, as your not losing anything, as opposed to actual cropping.

I ordered this from the UK because I had never heard of it and it sounded good. I was really impressed, I like it alot. Does anyone know if this is supposed to be loosely based on Farenheit 451 or are there just alot of similarities?

i just cannot bring myself to import for some reason. The fact that the movie has a different name is even more of a deterant, i will defiently wait. Plus, never saw the movie anyway

It isnt as well written as The Matrix but is on par with it every other way. Its not a rent, its an own. Ill patiently wait for the domestic release however.

The movie itself is awesome and definitely worth a purchase, even if it's just to see the "gun kata" scene.

However, I wouldn't get the UK release: no lossless audio and I heard the PQ wasn't all that great either. The Japanese release indeed has much better AQ and better PQ as well, from what I can tell.

Title changes for western movies aren't all that infrequent in Japan. Get this: "The Mummy" in Japan is "Hamunaptra" ... go figure. I think it has to do with local copyright issues as some titles are problably already taken by local media companies. Anyway, I got used to it and it doesn't bother me at all anymore. It's only the cover that has that title, the rest is still the same. Which is kind of funny: you see the title screen in English (for example The Mummy) and the Japanese title in the subtitles (Hamunaptra)
