I picked one up from Amazon 2 weeks ago and I am very happy with it. Upgraded from a 3 year old 46" Bravia. Waiting about a month to get it calibrated. Enjoy!!

Nice looking tv...... but your speaker placement could really use some work. I'd spread out the fronts more, put the center channel below the tv, put your side surrounds on the sides of your listening area, and spread the rear surrounds out a bit. Make those changes and be amazed at how much better your sound is.

The only thing I can do from what you said is put the center on the bottom. My wife doesn't want to see any wire or conduit so the side speakers are kinda stuck where they are (for now). Of course an upgrade is always in the future so when that time comes I will definitely address the side speaker issue.

Take a look at what I did with my rear surrounds in my gallery (my rears need to be spread some too but I haven't gotten around to rearranging the whole wall.) It's just acoustical ceiling tile covered in fabric. I ran the speaker wire up behind the tiles. It's good for the acoustics of the speaker, makes the speaker "pop" in appearance, and adds to the decor of the room. Let your wife pick the fabric and she'll probably love the idea. You can cut the tiles to whatever size and shape you like.
