has anyone heard of this promotion for the LG combo player..?

Sears is offering 10 free movies on either DVD, BD and/or DVD with the purchase of the LG combo player....

apparently they just received it...

10 free movies !?....

The 10 free movies is nice, but he $1199.99 price tag is steep. The movies are worth 350.00 at best, leaving 849.99 for the player. I see they have the BDP-S1 for 599.88.

My local best Buy actially has an end cap for the LG combo player now. No mention of any offers and a price of $1199

exactly...

but the whole idea that this is encouraged...

the 1200 price point is steep...even for 10 movies, but alot of people might see that as a deal because it's both combined in one unit and they know nothing about a format war....
