From Universal Pictures Home Entertainment: Self/Less
RYAN REYNOLDS AND BEN KINGSLEY STAR IN A RIVETING SCI-FI ACTION-THRILLER

SELF/LESS

ON BLU-RAY™ & DVD NOVEMBER 10, 2015 FROM UNIVERSAL PICTURES HOME ENTERTAINMENT
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Sept. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A dying billionaire seizes his only chance for survival and finds the price higher than he ever dreamed in Self/Less, coming to Blu-ray™ and DVD on November 10, 2015, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Directed by visionary filmmaker Tarsem Singh (The Cell, Immortals), Self/Less stars Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool, Safe House) and Academy Award®-winner Ben Kingsley (Shutter Island, Gandhi) in a provocative sci-fi action-thriller that will keep audiences riveted until the last surprising moments.

In Self/Less, critically ill real-estate mogul Damian Hale (Ben Kingsley) undergoes a radical medical procedure that transfers his consciousness into the body of a healthy young man (Ryan Reynolds). But all is not as it seems when he starts to uncover the mystery of the body's origin and the organization that will kill to protect its cause.

Matthew Goode ("The Good Wife," The Imitation Game), Natalie Martinez (End of Watch, "Kingdom"), Victor Garber (Argo, "Alias") and Derek Luke (Miracle at St. Anna, Antwone Fisher) also star in the sci-fi action-thriller guaranteed to leave viewers in suspense until the very end.

I thought this movie would have created some kind of buzz here but I guess not. I didn't make it to see it in theaters but I will be looking to pick it up hopefully on sale during BF.

It's an okay movie, not great and nothing home to write about. Would have been much better with more of Ben Kingsley and less of Ryan Reynolds.

Also, it was neither here nor there in terms of an action movie. They could have gone all out with an action family on the run movie or focus on the dilemma/ethics/morals of human cloning or transplanting.

Like I said, it was neither here nor there. A disappointing hodgepodge at the end of it.

I liked this. I think I'll grab it tomorrow and price watch through January (extended holiday return window).

I avoided this in theater because of reviews. Felt a bit like The 6th Day (Arnold Schwarzenegger).

I really like sci-fi. Right up my alley.

I love Ryan Reynolds (even more so after seeing Buried and The Voices) and Ben Kingsley (his range is astonishing), but I'm going to watch this one On Demand first.

It would have been nice if there was a steelbook for this. It looks promising, but I think I'll wait to see if it goes on sale during Black Friday.

Review is up.

I dunno. I liked it. I bought it. With the extended return window I'll keep an eye out for deals.

Not very good imo. I liked Matthew Goode's role though. Tarsem should go back to making dazzling looking movies like The Cell and The Fall.

Another one I Redboxed this weekend.

As others have said not great but far better than the reviews led one to believe. Reviewers seemed to want them to flesh out the moral issues. I don't watch movies to be preached at by Hollywood types so that was of no consequence to me. It entertained me from start to finish so it did it's job.

Once again, far better that the reviews indicated.

Worth a rent for sure.

Maddies high pitched, raspy voice and bad acting is insufferable. Horrible choice.
[Show spoiler]Should have "done away" with the wife and kid plot and had him on the run by himself and some type of interaction with his real daughter.

It's on HBO.

Wasn't bad. Not "34 out of 100" bad like it's averaging on Metacritic.

But it's nothing "wow" either. Which makes it a good one-time-watch movie.

Doesn't stay with ya, or make ya think, or have that special something that makes ya need to own it - unless you have a particular love for any of the actors and actresses (which I used to be guilty of; "Hey, so and so is in this, so I need to own it!" No, the days of doing that are over).

5.5 out of 10

I would consider this to be Tarsem Singh’s weakest film. Maybe it’s because, compared to his previous projects, the visuals in this film didn’t wow me as much.

Yes. This film came from the director of The Cell, The Fall, Immortals and Mirror Mirror.

Here’s a tip. When you try to redeem the code and it says it’s expired. Go and try at all other sites. Mine said expired at Universal and it worked on iTunes and transferred every where else
